Arsenal striker Omari Benjamin has announced that he will leave the club to seek first-team football.
Benjamin confirmed his departure from Arsenal in the summer, fuelling speculation of a possible move to Everton.
The Gooner has followed Benjamin’s career, as the young midfielder made 16 appearances in the Premiere League 2 during the 2022-23 season, scoring an impressive 11 goals, while also helping his team to the 2023 FA Youth Cup final.
However, the talented 18-year-old striker failed to make a name for himself during that period, making just four appearances.
Benjamin announced his decision on Monday via an Instagram post to mark the end of his five-year career with Arsenal’s academy.
The Toffees have expressed an interest in signing Benjamin to a long-term contract, and the Gooner believes the player’s representatives and the club at Goodison Park are already working on a long-term deal.
