Everton FC has expressed interest in signing Yankuba Minteh, a 19-year-old winger from Newcastle United. Minteh had a phenomenal season on loan at Feyenoord in the Netherlands, scoring 11 goals, including 10 in the league.

He joined Newcastle from OB, a Danish club, for £6 million last year and was immediately sent on loan. During his time at Feyenoord, Minteh gained valuable Champions League experience and won the Dutch Cup, although he was sent off in the final.

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has praised Minteh’s progress, and while Feyenoord is interested in extending his loan, Minteh’s ultimate goal is to play in the Premier League. Everton has shown interest in the young winger, but the club’s financial situation is uncertain.

In a recent interview with Voetbal International, Minteh stated, “The Premier League is my goal. Newcastle United is the club that has a lot of confidence in me. I have no idea what the future looks like. I was in Newcastle once, when they played against Borussia Dortmund. I will hear soon what plans the club has for me. I’m still young, I have time, maybe they want to loan me out again. I don’t know yet, I’ll hear about it. I’ll let everything happen to me. I know only that one day I will play in the Premier League (for Newcastle United).”

Interestingly, Newcastle United is also interested in signing Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, although their priority target is Michael Olise from Crystal Palace. Olise, a French winger, is also sought after by Manchester United and Chelsea, and his transfer clause is reportedly around £45 million, with add-ons potentially reaching £60 million.
