Everton FC is determined to keep Jarrad Branthwaite at the club for another season, despite growing interest from other teams, sources have revealed to Football Insider. According to senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke, Goodison Park officials are working hard to convince the talented center-back to stay put when the transfer window opens this summer.
This news comes after Football Insider reported on May 21 that Everton needs to sell one of their key players to balance their books by the end of June. However, the Toffees are willing to let other players go to ensure Branthwaite remains at the club. Manchester United has already expressed strong interest in signing the 21-year-old English defender as part of their summer squad overhaul.
Branthwaite has had a remarkable breakout season in the Premier League, establishing himself as a regular starter for Everton after a successful loan spell with PSV Eindhoven. He has made 41 appearances for the Toffees in the past nine months, helping the team secure their top-flight status and earning his first international call-up in March. The young defender was also named in Gareth Southgate’s training squad for the upcoming European Championships.
With his contract running until 2027, Everton is keen to keep Branthwaite at the club and is currently in talks with him to ensure he remains a key part of Sean Dyche’s side next season.
