Jack Harrison’s future at Leeds United has been a topic of discussion, and a new report has revealed Daniel Farke’s stance on the winger’s prospects.
Harrison, 27, spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Everton after five years at Elland Road, where he made 206 appearances and contributed to 68 goals.
Despite a move to Leicester City falling through in January, Harrison signed a new contract with Leeds, which included a relegation loan clause.
This clause allowed him to leave on loan when Leeds were relegated, and he joined Everton, where he impressed with seven goal involvements in 35 appearances.
Everton’s sporting director, Kevin Thelwell, has confirmed talks with Leeds over a permanent move for Harrison, with the Toffees confident of securing a deal.
However, Leeds’ failure to secure promotion in the play-off final against Southampton means the relegation loan clause may be activated again, allowing Everton to sign Harrison on a second loan without Leeds receiving a transfer fee.
According to TeamTalk, Farke is willing to sell Harrison, even if he wants to return to Leeds. With plenty of options out wide, Leeds may also consider selling Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto, the latter of whom is also a target for Everton. It promises to be a busy summer for Leeds and Farke, but the manager is prepared to make changes, including the likely departure of Harrison for a reported £11 million.
