🚨Leeds United Players United Behind Daniel Farke: Sources Reveal Dressing Room Support Despite Playoff Defeat

Despite failing to secure promotion back to the Premier League, Daniel Farke has the full support of the Leeds United dressing room, sources have revealed to Football Insider. The players are rallying behind the German boss, urging the club’s hierarchy not to sack him after the heartbreaking 1-0 defeat to Southampton in the Championship play-off final.

In a show of faith, the 49ers-led board has also thrown its weight behind Farke, backing him to lead the West Yorkshire club to promotion in the next campaign. This vote of confidence comes despite the significant financial challenges facing the club, with Leeds needing to recoup a staggering £150 million in player sales following their promotion failure.

Farke’s first season at Elland Road had been impressive, guiding Leeds to a third-place finish in the Championship. However, the play-off final defeat at Wembley, courtesy of Adam Armstrong’s first-half goal, was a bitter pill to swallow. With the club reportedly owing £190 million in unpaid transfers from the Andrea Radrizzani era, there are likely to be significant changes to the squad this summer.

Promotion back to the Premier League would have gone a long way in easing these financial concerns, especially considering Southampton’s windfall of over £305 million over the next three seasons following their play-off success. Nevertheless, Farke remains the right man for the job, according to the players and the board, and will be tasked with leading Leeds to promotion next season.
