Tottenham Hotspur is considering a move for VfB Stuttgart’s star striker Serhou Guirassy this summer, following his impressive campaign in the Bundesliga.

Guirassy’s 30 goals in 30 games have put him on the radar of top clubs, and his £17.5million release clause makes him an attractive option for Spurs.

According to senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke, Stuttgart is desperate to keep hold of the 28-year-old Guinea international, whose contract runs until 2026.

However, Tottenham’s need for a new striker is pressing, especially with Richarlison potentially leaving the club.

Guirassy’s exploits in the Bundesliga have made him a hot commodity, and he finished second in the goalscoring charts with 28 league strikes, just behind Harry Kane.

Stuttgart’s second-place finish and Champions League qualification may tempt Guirassy to stay, but Tottenham’s attacking style of play under Ange Postecoglou could be a draw for the forward.

Despite finishing fifth in the Premier League, Spurs struggled for goals, finishing as the lowest scorers in the top seven sides. Postecoglou has hinted at a “rebuild” of his side, and with nine senior players potentially leaving the club, Guirassy could be a key signing for Tottenham this summer.
