🚨GOOD NEWS : Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly set their sights on prolific striker as an ideal replacement for Richarlison

Tottenham Hotspur’s 2023-24 Premier League season was marked by inconsistency, with a ten-game unbeaten streak at the start of the campaign followed by a downturn in form and a fifth-place finish.

Brazilian striker Richarlison embodied this inconsistency, with a season that was marked by both brilliance and disappointment.

After a slow start to the season, Richarlison found his form in December, scoring nine goals in 12 games and looking like one of the top strikers in the league.

However, injuries limited him to just six more appearances for the rest of the season, and he failed to score in any of them.

Despite his flashes of brilliance, Richarlison’s inconsistency may have cost him his place in the team, with reports suggesting that Tottenham are interested in signing Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez as a replacement.

Gimenez has been in impressive form for Feyenoord, scoring 23 goals and providing three assists in 45 games last season, and 26 goals and eight assists in 41 games this season.

Gimenez’s goal involvement rate of one every 1.43 games over two seasons makes him an attractive option for Tottenham, and his prolific nature could also benefit Son Heung-min, who was underperforming in terms of assists last season.

The potential partnership between Gimenez and Son could be a key factor in Tottenham’s success next season.

While signing Gimenez would be a costly deal, with Feyenoord reportedly wanting a fee of around £85m, it could be a worthwhile investment for Tottenham if it means improving their consistency and goal-scoring ability up front.
