Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly one of three Premier League clubs interested in signing former Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira.

Pereira has just completed his second season with Fulham, playing 37 out of 38 games and establishing himself as a key player under Marco Silva.

According to Globe Esporte, Spurs, Newcastle, and Aston Villa are all interested in signing the Brazil international.

Fulham have previously rejected offers from Atletico Madrid and Al Ettifaq for Pereira, but it is now believed that he is unlikely to stay at Craven Cottage.

Both parties feel that it may be the right time for a move, with Pereira’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, handling discussions. Pereira is currently focused on the upcoming Copa America tournament with Brazil, but a strong campaign could see even more clubs show interest in him.

Pereira has ambitions to play in the Champions League, which could put Aston Villa in pole position to sign him. The 28-year-old moved to Manchester United as a youngster in 2011 and made 75 appearances before departing in 2022.

In a recent podcast appearance, Pereira revealed that he did not speak to Erik ten Hag before his exit, as he had already met him years ago when he left PSV for United.

Pereira explained that Ten Hag had tried to persuade him to stay at PSV, but he had already made up his mind to join United. He stated that he didn’t want to have a similar conversation with Ten Hag before his departure, as he knew it would be about staying and fighting for a place in the squad, rather than being a regular starter.

With Pereira’s desire to play in the Champions League and his impressive performances for Fulham, it’s no surprise that several Premier League clubs are interested in signing him. It remains to be seen which club will ultimately secure his services.
