Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing two players from Stuttgart, with Bayern Munich also showing interest in one of the deals.
The more coveted target is Chris Fuhrich, a 26-year-old right-footed left winger who impressed in the Bundesliga last season with 15 goal contributions. Fuhrich was recently named in Germany’s 26-man squad for Euro 2024 and could be a key player for his country this summer.
However, Bayern Munich are also keen on signing Fuhrich, and have a history of poaching top talent from their domestic rivals. Last summer, they signed Harry Kane from Tottenham in a blockbuster deal, and are now attempting to sign Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen.
According to German reporters Christian Falk and Tobi Altschaffl, Fuhrich has a release clause of €23.5m, and Tottenham have shortlisted him as a potential target.
However, Fuhrich has not yet made up his mind about his future, and is considering offers from various clubs.
The transfer tussle between Bayern and Tottenham could get heated, with Falk suggesting that the two clubs are “fighting” for Fuhrich’s signature.
Tottenham’s Ange Postecoglou has hinted that the club will look to strengthen their squad in all areas at the end of the season, with planning already underway.
The second Stuttgart player Tottenham are reportedly interested in is not named, but it’s clear that the club is looking to bolster their squad with talented players from the Bundesliga. With Bayern Munich also in the mix, the transfer window is set to be an exciting and competitive one.
