🚨JUST IN : In a heartwarming display of friendship and support,Kalvin Phillips congratulated his ex-teammate Patrick Bamford on his recent wedding

Former Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips was among the guests who attended Patrick Bamford’s wedding to his partner Michaela Ireland at the picturesque Grantley Hall in Ripon on Saturday. The ceremony marked a joyful occasion for Bamford, who had experienced a heartbreaking defeat in the Championship play-off final against Southampton last month.

Bamford and Michaela shared several photos of their special day on social media, captioned “Mr and Mrs B.” The photographer also shared images from the celebrations, congratulating the couple on their beautiful day. Phillips, who played alongside Bamford at Leeds for four years, was in attendance and shared a photo of the newlyweds walking down the aisle, writing, “Congratulations @Patrick_Bamford and @MichaelaIreland. Amazing day yesterday celebrating my mate and his beautiful wife’s special day!”

The celebrations provided a welcome respite for Bamford, who was injured and unable to play in the play-off final. He had suffered a patellar tendon injury, forcing him to miss the final games of the regular season and all play-off clashes. Despite this, Bamford was on the pitch, trying to console his younger teammates after the defeat, a moment he described as really tough.

Bamford is expected to remain at Leeds for another Championship promotion push and will hope to keep himself fit for larger parts of the season. He missed significant chunks of football at either end of the season but showed his influence with a brilliant run of eight goals in 13 games between January and March.

The wedding celebrations brought together former Leeds teammates and friends, providing a joyous occasion amidst the disappointment of the play-off defeat. As Bamford and Michaela begin their new life together, the Leeds striker will look to put the heartbreak of last season behind him and focus on another promotion push.
