🚨REPORT : Everton Engages in Talks with Premier League Rival as Deal Nears Completion This Week


Newcastle United are reportedly looking to complete a deal for Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin this week. 

The Toffees striker has been linked with a move to Tyneside this summer, with both Everton and Newcastle hoping to complete a raft of deals before the Premier League’s sustainability and earnings regulations deadline later this month. .

According to a report from the Northern Echo (June 22), Newcastle and the Everton hierarchy have held a series of talks over the transfer of Calvert-Lewin and it is hoped a deal can be concluded this week.

Everton have also been in talks to sign Newcastle winger Yankuba Minteh, who has already agreed personal terms with an unnamed club.

The 27-year-old striker is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract at Goodison Park and Everton are demanding around £37m for him.

Calvert-Lewin scored eight goals in 38 games last season. If he joins Newcastle, the Magpies are expected to sell Callum Wilson while making major changes in the summer.

Newcastle and Everton seek to make more signings

Calvert-Lewin scored 68 goals in 247 games for the Toffees. He also played 11 games for the English team.

Calvert-Lewin has battled injuries in recent years but his quality has never been in doubt. He scored four goals in the final seven games of the season as Everton secured Premier League safety.

Everton have signed Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa for around £9 million. They are also looking to sign Jack Harrison, who will be on loan at Leeds United.

The Magpies have already signed Lloyd Kelly on a free transfer this summer and Eddie Howe is looking to add more players to their ranks.

Eddie Howe is interested in signing a new defender and they have shown interest in Wolves Kilman.
