🚨JUST IN : Everton Enters Race Alongside Tottenham to Sign Highly-Rated Goalscoring Defender

According to a recent report, Everton will compete with Tottenham to sign the highly-rated defender.

The Toffees will miss Wilfred Ndidi, who is reportedly set to agree a new contract with Leicester City.

But they are wasting no time moving on to other targets as new rumors emerge linking them with a player Tottenham are looking to sign.

Everton are interested in signing Federico Gatti

According to Tutto Juve, Everton are interested in signing Juventus centre-back Federico Gatti, who actually used to work as a bricklayer.

Spurs and Newcastle United are interested in the 26-year-old, so it will clearly not be an easy deal for The Tofees.

He is also expected to cost around £25m, which may be a little too high for Everton at this stage unless a sale is imminent.

The Merseysiders have long been interested in Gatti, who according to FBref is one of the best goalscorers in Europe, they even tried to sign him last summer but Jive rejected their approach.

The deal is likely to be on standby until the end of the 2024 European Championship

Any future deal to sign Gatti is unlikely to be done until the EC in Germany.

The centre-back is currently out of the tournament with Italy but has yet to feature in any of the opening three games.

Italy will face Switzerland in the Round of 16 on Saturday night, where Gatti may be spotted by suitors.

Everton’s scouts are likely to attend a number of games in the European Championship as they look to build a squad capable of pushing the Premier League into mid-table.
