📢EXCLUSIVE : Nottingham Forest Maintains Interest in Crystal Palace Star

Nottingham Forest have retained their interest in Crystal Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnston and could make a move following the sale of Odysseas Vlachodimos to Newcastle United, according to Sky Sports News.

Despite having to bear the brunt of the PSR rules last season, Tricky Trees have already shown they are fearless in the summer transfer market.

They splashed out £35m to sign Elliot Anderson from Newcastle United and are close to securing a move for Corinthians goalkeeper Carlos Miguel.

The investment won’t stop anytime soon, but the possibility of signing another goalkeeper is being looked at.

Nottingham Forest targeted Crystal Palace goalkeeper Johnston, 31, in January but the Eagles rejected the player’s loan at the time.

Nuna Espirito Santo’s side remain interested in the player and could try again in the summer.

Johnstone, who has been out injured since March, has just returned to training after missing out on Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024.
The goalkeeper has three years left on his current contract with Crystal Palace.
