📢BREAKING NEWS : Former Tottenham Scout Bryan King Endorses Club’s Decision on Multi-Million Exit as Confirmation Looms

Bryan King believes Tottenham made the right decision to let Joe Rodon join Leeds United.

The former Spurs scout claims the Welshman had no future in north London despite an impressive loan spell at Elland Road last season.

As reported by BBC Sport (July 2), Tottenham have signed Archie Gray from Leeds United for around £30m, with Rodon heading in the opposite direction in a £10m deal.

And King – exclusively to Tottenham News – believes it was the right move for the defender.

“Getting rid of Rodon as part of the Gray deal was a good deal,” King said.

“Rodon had no future at Tottenham and it looks like he will have the chance to build his career properly at Leeds.

“If I had stayed in North London I would have gone on loan or not played. I think he likes being there as well and he seems to have proved his worth in the Championship.

Joe Rodon is leaving Tottenham to join Leeds United

This is one of those transfers that just made sense.

It seemed inevitable that Rodon would leave Spurs and after being on loan at the club, a return to Leeds seems right.

In addition, Spurs were able to use him as leverage to sign the talented young midfielder.

Rodon will get a chance to play regularly at Elland Road, while Gray could start with Spurs.

As a result, everyone is happy and all clubs will feel like they got a good deal out of the negotiations.
