Earlier today, Nottingham Forest announced the signing of Carlos Miguel, bringing the saga to an end.
As we all know, there was a huge controversy surrounding his exit from Corinthians, with many people angry that he left the club right after becoming a starter there.
Before the move to Nottingham Forest was made official, Benjamin Back managed to interview Carlos Miguel. Now he has released a teaser of the full video which will air tonight.
Carlos Miguel has claimed that no one from Corinthians ever called him to extend his contract and change his €4 million release clause, which ultimately triggered the Reds. He says he would extend if it was a bet.
“Yes, I would,” said Carlos Miguel.
“No one will ever take away the joy of acting in my life. The whole world can be against me.”
The goalkeeper also defended himself against critics, saying that he will not earn that much money at Nottingham Forest, as it is more about the opportunity he has.
“I’m not going there to make a bunch of money like everyone else says.
“People want to say something? Go ahead. Unless I’ve said it, I’ll shut up anyone who will.
“Another show, a very big club, it will give you very good exposure. It will be very good for your career. Would you go or not?”
Nottingham Forest are said to be battling West Ham United for Carlos Miguel and are winning the race as they offer him more chances to play. That will soon become apparent as the Reds continue their long search for a top prospect at the position.
