🚨REPORT :Nottingham Forest is reportedly interested in acquiring a player who has garnered praise from legendary Italian defender Fabio Cannavaro

Nottingham Forest are set to sign Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina, but now another Serie A player is on the radar.

   Forest booked a medical for Milenkovic on Wednesday and the deal appears to be very close to being completed.

   Gianluca Di Marzio first claimed a deal was close and Forest now seem to have their man.

   The HR team seems to have been busy for the last week and now another name has surfaced.

   Forest have added three players to their ranks so far – Milenkovic is set to sign number four – and things are really heating up.

   Nottingham Forest want Lazar Samardžić

   Although HR guru George Syrianos has experience working in the Bundesliga, Serie A seems to have been identified as a hot spot this summer.

   Now Udinese midfielder Samardzic is the latest to be linked with a move to Forest, according to Football Italia.

   Serbia played two matches at Euro 2024 and was in the same team as Milenković during the tournament.

   A 22-year-old who can play as a central midfielder or a number 10, Samardžić has been at Udinese for three years since joining from Leipzig.

   Last season, he played a large part of football as a regular midfielder, scoring six goals and registering two assists.

   Samradžić almost joined Inter last summer, but despite passing a medical examination, he could not agree on a deal with the giants of San Siro.

   Samardžić looks talented, but do Forest really need him?

   Perhaps a new midfielder shouldn’t be Forest’s priority this summer, but if there are good players available, why not?

   Considering his age, Samardžić again ticks a lot of boxes and would join a group of players around the same age.

   The complicated performer has been praised by Italian giant Fabio Cannavaro in the past.

   In April, he told Italian media: “It’s clear that Samardžić is the most talented player we have.    It was more difficult for him this year, but that’s normal, because once they know you on the field, it’s more difficult.”

   Samardžić would most likely be available for a transfer this summer, but now it remains to be seen whether an agreement will be reached between the two clubs or not.
