🚨EXCLUSIVE : Leeds United Urged to Accept Significant Offer for International Player

Former Celtic and West Ham striker Frank McAvennie has exclusively explained to Football Insider that the Championship club should offload the 20-year-old as it is a “good investment”.

Gnonto himself gave the go-ahead for the deal and sources today say he is interested in a move to Goodison Park as progress continues in what are still early talks at this stage.

However, the desire to play Premier League football may prove too much after the Whites failed to gain promotion to the top flight last season.

Leeds United should sell Wilfried Gnont for ‘£25m’

Gnonto has made a successful start to his football career, but the unpredictability of the game means his value could drop quickly in the future.

With the Whites currently able to demand at least £20m for him, it may be time to cash in and reinvest.

“It depends on the situation at Leeds,” McAvennie told Football Insider.

“I think £20-25m for a lad at 20 is a damn good investment because you have to remember people can get injured.

“£20m to £25m is a good deal for anyone, that’s a good offer, unless you’re a million per cent sure he’s going to stay for the next few years and take them where they want to be, then keep him

“I’d take it if you can get him because you can replace a young lad, sometimes you can’t replace an experienced midfielder; someone who’s been on the road and can control the game.

“Although the young lad hasn’t learned the game yet, it might be good to move him on and bring in a few more people.”
