Nottingham Forest are now looking at the former Premier League player who could become their number six of the summer.
Nuna Espirito Santo’s side have been one of the busier sides in the transfer market, having already brought five new faces to the City Ground.
Most of these players already had their first experience in the Forest jersey after the first two friendlies of the season.
Recent signing Nikola Milenkovic has now joined Forest in Spain but is yet to make his debut for the Reds.
Although Forest have been active in the window, they are still looking for further additions after avoiding all PSR penalties this time around.
Forest are showing a genuine interest in the former Premier League winger
Adding to their front line was something that was clearly on Forest’s radar, with a number of options being explored.
Riquelme Fillipi is a player Forest are hoping to sign this summer.
This comes after Forest received interest from Newcastle United in Anthony Elanga earlier in the window.
But it may not be just the £5million Brazilian that Forest will be looking to land in the coming weeks, with another winger now reportedly on their radar.
According to L’Equipe, Forest are now showing an interest in Marseille winger Ismail Sarr.
The former Watford striker is one of the players the Ligue 1 side would be willing to sell this summer after being considered as an option in a swap deal with Villarreal for Filip Jorgensen.
However, Forest are not the only side to have shown an interest in Sarr with Crystal Palace also in the case.
With Marseille looking to sell, the 26-year-old is said to be keen on the prospect of a possible return to the Premier League.
What El Hadji Diouf said about Ismaila Sarr
It wasn’t that long ago that the Senegal international was playing Premier League football with Watford.
Liverpool were even hinted at a possible transfer of the 26-year-old, and El Hadji Diouf told the Daily Mail that Sarr could play for one of the top English clubs as early as 2022.
– He is a world class player. He can play for Manchester United and Liverpool anywhere, he says.
The winger managed to return 10 goals and six assists in his 50 Premier League appearances for struggling Watford.
That number could soon increase in the coming months with interest from English clubs gathering.
