🚨REPORT : In a bid to offload unbelievable player Leeds United  is reportedly considering the termination of his contract this summer

Major news has emerged on the potential exit of one of Leeds United’s key players in 2024 this summer.

   The Whites appear to be in danger of losing a number of big-name players before the start of the season, but a new report suggests they would be willing to address that with a contract extension.

   Number 14 Rasmus Kristensen is expected to leave on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt, which is expected to be completed today.

   Frankfurt are believed to have an option to make a permanent switch within 12 months for £15m, but Leeds appear to be keen to get him off the books for another season.

   However, he is not the only player to have been linked with a potential departure in recent days, with Junior Firpo, Wilfried Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville also linked elsewhere.

   Firpo, Gnonto and Summerville played key roles in the Championship at various points last season.

   Firpo spent the first half of the campaign on the sidelines but hasn’t looked back since January, contributing eight assists in 33 games in all competitions.

   His attacking prowess has made him one of the best left-backs in the division, but reports this week have heavily linked him with a return to Real Betis.

   Firpo is said to be keen on a move back to the Spanish side and has already agreed personal terms ahead of a deal between the clubs.

   According to Mucho Deporte, progress has been made on the structure of the transfer, which they claim a deal cannot be ruled out.

   The “incredible” Firpo is in the final year of his contract with Leeds and the report says that while he is preparing for a loan move, his contract is also on the horizon to be torn up 11 months early.

   Leeds could make a huge mistake

   If Leeds don’t get a transfer fee for Firp then they simply shouldn’t approve the deal regardless of whether he wants to move.

   A loan would obviously be disastrous as it would mean he would leave on a free next summer, but breaking his contract would be even worse.

   While this would remove the high earner from the payroll, the financial benefit would in no way outweigh what he offers on the field at this level.

   If he wants to leave, Leeds must hold out and get some kind of fee for him.    If not, he stays for another year and then is free to find his next move.    Let’s hope that doesn’t happen.
