🚨REPORT : Man Utd make new Jarrad Branthwaite decision following Everton ‘takeover disaster’

Manchester United have made a move for Jarrad Branthwaite following the collapse of their Everton takeover.

   In recent weeks, it has been reported that American billionaire Dan Friedkin is interested in buying Everton.

   However, on Friday it appeared that the deal had fallen through.

   The statement read: “Both parties agree that it is in their interests for Everton to explore alternative options.”

   As a result of recent events, Everton may now be faced with the need to sell more players to ease the club’s financial pressure.

   Earlier in the summer, United were said to have made two bids worth £43m and £50m for Toffees defender Branthwaite.

   But both were rejected, with the Goodison Park club’s asking price reportedly set at £75m.

   It is now claimed that United could reignite their interest in the 22-year-old following Everton’s takeover disaster.

   A report by The Telegraph said: “Manchester United’s hopes of signing Jarrad Branthwaite could be rekindled following the collapse of Everton’s proposed takeover by the Friedkin Group.

   “It now remains to be seen whether they will go ahead with a third and final bid. It is believed that United are unlikely to go higher than a total package worth around £55m and have no intention of meeting Everton’s existing £75m valuation of Branthwaite.

   In addition to Branthwaite, United have also been linked with Matthijs de Ligt, Manuel Ugarte, Adrien Rabiot and Martin Zubimendi.

   The Red Devils have so far secured the signings of Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yor.

   On joining the club, Yoro said: “To sign for a club of Manchester United’s size and ambition so early in my career is an incredible honour.

   “From my first discussions with the club, they have set out a clear plan for how I can develop in Manchester as part of this exciting project and have shown a lot of concern for me and my family.”
