Nottingham Forest fans have urged the club to accept a bid for Taiwa Awoniyi as he looks set to miss the pre-season tour of Spain.

The striker missed the opening warm-up game with Chesterfield and will also miss the training camp due to personal issues.

However, Nuno Espirito Santo also stated after the Chesterfield game that Awoniyi was struggling with a hamstring injury which had worsened when he returned to training.

Due to his long absence, fans demanded money from the club despite his talent and ability to lead the line.

Nottingham Forest are being urged to cash in on Taiwa Awonyi following a new twist

Awoniyi has missed a total of 35 games in the past two seasons with groin problems, 18 in 2023/24 and 17 in 2022/23, leaving Forest without a top scorer for a long period.

His recent absence has left fans fed up with his unavailability.

Fans are now calling for him to be sold while he’s still worth it and for the club to invest in signing a new forward to lead the line.
