🚨NEWS REPORT :Everton Reassessing Transfer Strategy Following Romano’s Update on Goodison-Linked Forward

Everton have been looking for players throughout the transfer window to improve their squad in all areas.

   One of the key areas in the team that needs to be strengthened is the forward position.

   Although Everton have both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto in their ranks, the duo have underperformed last season.

   Beto was brought in as the Englishman’s understudy but failed to make much of an impact.

   The former Udinese man has since been linked with moves to Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce and Bologna ahead of the 2024/25 season.

   Although the 26-year-old hasn’t had much of an impact on the results Sean Dyche’s men have been able to achieve, a replacement is still needed.

   Since then, a number of clubs have been vying for the former Southampton man, but Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday (22 July) that Adams has now signed a three-year deal with Torino.

   Everton must now look at other attacking options

   Adams is one of a number of nine to have been linked with the Merseyside club this summer and now that his move appears to be off the table, they will no doubt turn their attention elsewhere.

   Wingers appear to be at the top of Dyche’s list of priorities this summer, with Alan Myers even reporting on July 20 that as many as two could join the club this summer.

   Iliman Ndiaye has already been welcomed at Goodison Park, but he is more of a number 10 than an exit striker.

   Calvert-Lewin has also been linked with moves, but nothing seems to have materialized yet.

   Jesper Lindström is another name constantly being linked with a move to Everton, alongside Leeds United’s Willy Gnont [Planet Sport, July 17].

   A move for either of the aforementioned two would show the Toffees are serious this term, but with both being wing options, it means Dyche may still have to rethink when it comes to centre-forward targets.
