West Ham United, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are among the clubs interested in signing Leeds United winger Crysencia Summerville, with Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas now confirming that Fulham are also in the running for his signature.
After an impressive season in the Championship, Summerville could be looking for a way back into the Premier League. The Whites have failed to break into England’s top flight and Summerville may be hoping to take the next step in his career with the Dutch winger attracting interest from a host of clubs.
Leeds may struggle to keep hold of their man as Premier League clubs begin to show interest, but the Yorkshire club will certainly not let him come cheap after receiving a hefty fee for Archie Gray.
Fulham are now in the running for Summerville
Newcastle, West Ham, Villa and Palace are interested
According to a report from Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas, Fulham are now showing an initial interest in Summerville, while West Ham are also keen on the Dutchman. The Hammers have held “initial talks” with Leeds over a potential deal, but there is currently a huge gap in their ratings.
Separate reports have also claimed that Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Newcastle are also fans of Summerville and could step up their pursuit in the summer transfer window, with Leeds reportedly demanding around £40m for his departure.
Summerville moved to Leeds in 2020, joining the club from Feyenoord after failing to feature for the Dutch side. The 22-year-old hasn’t set the world on fire in the Premier League, but his 2023/24 campaign in the Championship has shown he is now beginning to adapt to English football.
English clubs are not the only ones interested in Summerville in this window, as French side Rennes will now look to pry him away from Elland Road. He would undoubtedly be a smart signing for several sides, and with West Ham already leading negotiations, they will be hoping to convince Summerville to move to London.
According to TEAMtalk, Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr are planning a big bid to sign both Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paquete during the summer transfer window. The Hammers will no doubt be pushing hard to keep both at the club, but a giant offer could tempt them to sell.
Summerville could be considered as a potential replacement for both players, and the Dutch winger could play on both sides of the attack. Paqueta and Kudus were very successful in their time at West Ham.
