Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville undoubtedly has ambitions to make a big move to further his career this summer, but will only do so once the club receive the best possible offer.

   The Whites will have to brace themselves for serious interest from top flight clubs in the coming weeks before the campaign kicks off.

   It’s a shock that we’ve come this far into the summer and pre-season when Crysencio Summerville is still on the club’s books, but a move remains highly likely.

   It’s never often that the Championship’s best players stay back-to-back in the second tier, which seems to be the case for Summerville.

   However, LeedsLive shared that there doesn’t seem to be any real excitement in the player’s camp for a move as soon as possible, as they seem more willing to ensure that the club is in the best possible financial position with such a move:

   “There is an understanding from all sides, Summerville is very likely to move in this transfer window, but only with a deal that suits all parties.

   “It’s understandable that the underdog camp wants to secure a good deal for White after giving him the chance to come to England at 18 and then progress to where he is now.”

   It comes amid reports earlier this week that West Ham sent a formal approach to Leeds to sign the 22-year-old, only to receive a very high asking price.

   Confirmation of Summerville’s departure from Leeds doesn’t appear to be around the corner, but it’s fair to say it would be a miracle if he was here after the August 30 deadline.

   Regardless, either scenario here serves as a win for the 49ers in the transfer market, either keeping their best player and the best in the division, or paying a fee that would be huge to reinvest.

   Major sales of Leeds under Andrea Radrizzani from Calvin Phillips and Raphinha were made for ludicrous fees at the time, with two regular elite internationals at the peak of their powers – as the club was weakened by players’ desire to stick to just one club.

   As for Summerville, he obviously wants to move on (rightly so) but is open to a move to wherever the best money is coming from for Leeds, leaving us in the most optimal position to develop him into a Premier League ready player.

   There are very few cases where a player is so eager to get what’s best for the club in the transfer market, but the Dutchman’s attitude is a huge incentive for the 49ers to either keep him or replace him accordingly.
