Nottingham Forest have made a positive start to the summer transfer window, but it could have been a lot better.
Nuno Espirito Santo has made six new signings this summer as Forest look set to vastly improve on last season.
The Reds have had a strong start to the summer and have been able to work on their fitness in the recent Spanish heat.
But their sweltering summer may still not have secured Nuno with a statement signing as they look to avoid another season hanging around the relegation zone.
And the club, one of their summer targets, now appear to be preparing to lose their star man with Forest on the way.

Forest have boosted most of their key areas this summer with six signings.
But the only area that hasn’t been touched yet is the new striker, as Nuno still has the same options available to him as he did at the end of last season.
Given the form Chris Wood has been showing, it might not be the worst, but it looks like Forest will be looking to bring in a new striker.
Nottingham Forest are believed to be preparing a strategy for Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez.
According to FR 12, Feyenoord are now ready to lose Gimenez this summer with interest in their Mexican striker.
The player himself, however, was described as touting a move with the possibility of playing in the Premier League.

Gimenez enjoyed a fantastic 2023/24 season in the Eredivisie where he managed to return 23 goals.
The 23-year-old ‘superstar’ was also interested elsewhere in the Premier League, with Tottenham Hotspur eyeing Gimenez.
However, it looks like Forest could lead the Mexican with just a few weeks to go.
The only minor concern could be how Gimenez might adapt to life in the Premier League after never having tested himself in one of Europe’s top five leagues.
