With Farke looking to find competition for Junior Firp, Wolverhampton Wanderers left-back Hugo Bueno is also someone to watch.
Reporter Tim Thornton gave the latest on Leeds’ interest in all three live on the Sky Sports Transfer Show on Monday night.
He said: “They are interested in Jonathan Rowe, the Norwich City winger. There are two possible obstacles to this deal; firstly, if Norwich sell to a Championship rival, but also if they can agree a fee.
“Furthermore, Norwich midfielder Gabriel Sara was also sold to Galatasaray at the weekend, one of their standout players last season. Norwich is not looking good to sell two of their key players in the lead up to the start of the new season.
“He is an option for Leeds but it will be difficult to get there. They are also interested in a deal for Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, but he is a player who is being looked at by a lot of clubs. He is a young player, very talented and will have opportunities, so Leeds will try to secure a loan for him.
“They are also looking at signing defender Hugo Bueno from Wolves on loan. He is a player they are interested in, but the problem Leeds have with loans is that they won’t give them playing time, they have to earn playing time. Of course, when clubs The Premier League lends players, they want them to play.”
Wolves can leave the Leeds issue on two fronts
As Thornton mentioned, it could be difficult for Leeds to pull off a deal for Buena because they cannot guarantee him an immediate starting place.
Firpo has that position locked down for now, so Wolves will no doubt be keen to send him to a club that can offer him regular minutes.
Bueno’s deal is not the only one Leeds could face problems with due to Wolves, but also Rowe, with the Premier League side also interested.
