Everton target Armando Broj looks set to leave the Chelsea gates and will miss the Real Madrid game.

Fabrizio Romano announced on X on August 6 that the Albanian international is not even in the Blues’ squad for the pre-season friendly.

23-capped Albania are understood to be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer.

Romano wrote: “Armando Broja and David Datro Fofana are expected to leave Chelsea on permanent transfers.

“Bria, not even in the team tonight.”

The development comes amid reports that the Toffees are keen to sign the 22-year-old this window as transfer talks take place, reported AS on 12 June.

Everton must avoid Armand Broja

The Toffees will need to sign a proven number nine if Dominic Calvert-Lewin leaves, but Broja apparently won’t.

He returned with just eight goals in 66 Premier League games – too few for a Chelsea striker.

Even at Fulham, where he got the chance to prove his worth, he failed to find the back of the net in any of his eight appearances.

His only goal on loan at the club was an assist and that is not something that will please Marco Silva or any manager considering a move for him.

Broja’s only decent goalscoring campaign came in the 2020/21 Eredivisie, when he scored 10 goals in 30 games for Vitesse.

His overall commitment is also incredible, ranking in the bottom 10 percent in strikeouts and in the bottom 30 percent in progressive pitching, according to Fbref.
