Sheffield United have agreed a loan deal for Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.
That’s according to Football Insider, who believe the player has now reached a “comprehensive agreement” with the Blades to join them on loan for the 2024/25 campaign.
He looks set to be another smart signing for United, who are putting together an excellent squad in their quest to return to the Premier League when it was first asked.
After finishing bottom of the top flight at the end of last season and conceding over 100 league goals, there was clearly work to be done at Bramall Lane.
And they’ve managed to enjoy a great summer so far.
Having lost some of their long-time first-team players, including John Egan and Oli McBurnie, they have managed to bring in real quality to replace them.
The takeover may not be complete but they have managed to sign Jamie Shackleton, Sam McCallum, Kieffer Moore, Callum O’Hare and Harrison Burrows to permanent deals at Bramall Lane.
Harry Souttar and Alfie Gilchrist, meanwhile, have joined as loan players to add some top quality to their defence.
With these additions in mind, they are in a very strong position to challenge for promotion next campaign and the addition of Palace’s Rak-Sakyi, who was a real asset for Charlton Athletic in League One during the 2022/23 campaign, will only help boost their chances to return to the highest level.

The Blades are said to have reached an agreement to take Rak-Sakyi to Bramall Lane.
He is set to join United on loan with Palace refusing to let the 21-year-old leave Selhurst Park for good despite an injury-plagued 2023/24 season.
Paying a seven-figure fee to sign him for the season isn’t a cheap deal for the Blades, who are also paying his wages.
But their willingness to fork out a fee for the wide player saw them win the race ahead of Hull City, Leeds United, Queens Park Rangers and Watford, who were all reported to be interested in the former Charlton loanee.

If you look at your squad on paper, United are in a pretty strong position.
Their defense looks more solid with the arrival of Gilchrist and Souttar – and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Burrows thrive in the final third at left-back if given the chance to start regularly.
They also have some decent midfield options, with Gus Hamer and O’Hare who could be real game changers in the middle of the park for the Blades.
There is work to be done in goalkeeping, wing and attack, especially if Will Osula leaves, but the addition of Moore is a real plus for them.
They still have a couple of weeks to bring in a few more additions – and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they manage to lure some other great players to Bramall Lane later this month.
