Nottingham Forest and Everton Lead the Chase for Barcelona’s Vitor Roque

According to Spanish publication Marca, Nottingham Forest and Everton are among the top contenders to sign Barcelona’s 19-year-old striker Vitor Roque this summer. The Brazilian youngster has failed to impress since joining the Catalan giants in January, scoring only two goals in 16 appearances.

Barcelona’s Decision to Let Go

Marca reports that Barcelona has decided to let Roque leave the club, citing his unconvincing performances. The club has already communicated this decision to Roque’s agent, AndrĂ© Cury, and his father. Barcelona is open to either a loan move or a permanent transfer, with a valuation of €30m.

Multiple Suitors

Nottingham Forest and Everton are not the only clubs interested in Roque. Girona, FC Porto, and Real Sociedad are also mentioned as potential suitors, with all parties capable of making definitive offers to Barcelona.

Urgency to Seal the Deal

Barcelona is keen to finalize Roque’s transfer before their first game of the new season against Valencia on August 17th. Notably, the club has not registered Roque for the upcoming season, meaning his departure would not impact their wage bill. This adds to the urgency for Barcelona to offload the young striker.

A New Chapter for Roque?

As the transfer window heats up, Vitor Roque’s future hangs in the balance. Will Nottingham Forest or Everton succeed in bringing the Brazilian talent to the Premier League, or will another suitor emerge to secure his signature? Only time will tell.
