Former Everton boss Keith Wyness has insisted the Premier League must act quickly to close the “loopholes” being exploited by Chelsea to avoid punishment.
In a new edition of the Football Insider Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old, who was managing director of Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy that advises elite clubs, claimed the club’s hotels and blues will be sold. the training ground “they squirm over them”.
The Times revealed last month (July 17) that the Premier League will review the takeover of Chelsea Women by the club’s parent company to see if it complies with related party agreements and fair market value rules.
The Stamford Bridge hotels and part of the club’s training ground also changed hands to provide the club with a one-off profit to reduce the risk of breaching Profit and Sustainability Regulations (PSR).
Fans of the rival clubs were outraged by the moves of Chelsea, who continued to be extravagant in the summer transfer window.

Wyness insisted the Premier League needed to “toughen up the rules”.
He told the Insider Track Football Insider podcast: “It’s about PSR requirements.
“The valuation of these companies, the hotel and the training ground, is a question.
“It is not clear to me whether these sales have been approved by the Premier League.
“I know they have been analyzed by the Premier League and I am yet to know the final outcome of those discussions.
“That’s the question, there’s no doubt about it.
“These things need to be tightened up, related party deals. These deals just stink – something is wrong.
“If we want to have real competition with integrity, these gaps must be closed.
“Common sense tells you that these things are not right.”
