According to The Sunday Mirror, The Whites want to replace Georginia Rutter with Jack Clarke. The York-born winger, who was previously mooted as a replacement for Crysencia Summerville, is now the second striker Farke wants to bring to Elland Road.
Rutter has verbally agreed to go to Brighton and Hove Albion, but no official announcement has been made yet. The Seagulls completed the deal by triggering a £40m release clause, which expired at 11pm on 14 August.
The Frenchman’s departure saw another striker leave the club, according to Crysencio Summerville. Glen Kamara and Archie Gray also left the middle without depth.
All these players have yet to be replaced. The 49ers were doing double duty with less than two weeks left in the transfer window.
The West Yorkshire outfit face competition from Southampton and Lazio, who are also keen on Clarke’s services. With two top clubs vying for Jack’s signature, Leeds United may struggle to secure the winger.

The 23-year-old’s versatility could also be an asset for The Whites. With the Englishman capable of playing any attacking role, this could solve the club’s front line problems.
The 49ers can use him on the left or right side, with offensive center also an option. Jack is also an excellent dribbler, making him an excellent ball carrier.
