Leeds United have agreed a fee for Almeria winger Largie Ramazani in a £10m transfer.
Leeds have booked medicals for Almeria and former Manchester United man Largie Ramazani, as reported by transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, with a view to completing a permanent move.
The Belgian spent time at Charlton Athletic and Man United in his formative years after leaving RSC Anderlecht’s youth system to move to England. Due to his time in the country in the past, Ramazani should qualify as a domestic player in the quota required by the EFL.
Ramazani joined Spanish club Almeria in 2020 on a free transfer from Old Trafford and has since been regarded as a talent with huge potential, but is unlikely to live up to that rating in Manchester.
After a couple of seasons in the first team at Los Rojiblancos, yo-yoing between La Liga and Spain’s second division, Leeds made his move in a deal that could see him become the fifth arrival at Elland Road this summer.
Ramazani, who YEP initially called an interesting player, could be announced as early as tomorrow. The 23-year-old would need to be registered with the EFL by midday tomorrow [Thursday, August 22] to feature on Friday night against Sheffield Wednesday.
The smaller forward usually plays wide on the left and Leeds see him as a replacement for Crysencia Summerville. Ramazani has one year left on his contract with Almeria, which saw him relegated from the Spanish first division last season.
