Leeds United are reportedly pushing hard to sign the right-back with just days left until the deadline.
Leeds United are of course active in the final days of the window as they look for additions that could help them fight for a return to the Premier League.
Tottenham Hotspur’s Manor Solomon is expected to complete his move to Leeds United today after the Israeli winger rejected advances from other clubs and wants to move to the Yorkshire side.
Leeds have also signed former Manchester United winger Largie Ramazani from UD Almeria, but the Whites don’t appear to be done this summer.
Leeds are pushing to sign Roland Sallai from Freiburg this summer
According to a post on X by Sacha Tavolieri, Leeds are making a “strong push” to sign SC Freiburg winger Rolando Sallai.
The right-back is also said to be keen on a move to Elland Road, which is always a bonus. The potential fee for Sallai is said to be around £7m.
Leeds’ financial situation could be tight this summer, but Archie Gray’s move to Spurs earlier this summer has netted the Yorkshire club around £40m as they look to return to the Premier League.
Joe Rodon and Jayden Bogle have already completed moves to the club, but Sallai could soon join them.
The Yorkshire club will have to make a move if they are to complete the signing of the winger just days before the summer transfer window closes.
West Ham and Wolves were previously interested in Rolando Sallai
Already in 2023, West Ham United and Wolves were interested in Sallai, and he spoke about a move to England after the match against England.
I know about Lazio’s interest, but it is too early to talk about the future,” he said. “Only the Premier League is better than the Bundesliga and Serie A. And I would like to play for a top club in that league.”
The Hungarian winger scored eight goals and provided four assists for the Bundesliga side last season and would be an interesting addition for the Yorkshire club as they aim for an immediate return to the Premier League.
