Nottingham Forest fans have been furious with Gary Neville following his recent comments about the Premier League and profit and sustainability rules.
The former Man United star insisted the PSR rules are no longer fit for purpose and called for changes over the next 12 months.
He explained that clubs are being forced to sell their best players to avoid financial penalties – something the PSR was not designed to do.
However, Forest fans have rejected Neville’s unsympathetic comments after they were stripped of two points last season for financial misconduct.
Despite his latest comments being in line with what fans have been saying for almost a year, fans insist he has only spoken out now that United are hurting.
Neville lamented live on Sky Sports Main Event (September 1): “I think it’s been the most bizarre transfer window.
“I think PSR has now started using the Premier League and that’s why we’re seeing a lot of clubs, including Manchester United, having to deal with selling players they might not want.
“The PSR was never designed to require clubs to sell their best academy players. This is what we are seeing, so something has to change dramatically in the next 12 months.”

United have faced their own PSR woes this summer and had to cash in on Scott McTominay in the late stages to balance the books.
However, Forest fans have previously claimed that the Premier League gave the Red Devils extra compensation to avoid any punishment.
After Neville spoke out on the subject, fans flocked to social media to question why he is only speaking out now when it affects his club, given his previous stance on Forest.
