West Ham ace Crysencio SummerviWest Ham United have signed Crysencia Summerville from Leeds United in an extremely exciting transfer for the club. It came shortly before Crysencio Summerville actually admitted he told his father two years ago that he wanted to play for West Ham one day.

West Ham signed Crysencio Summerville from Leeds for just £20m in the summer transfer window (Florian Plettenberg) – outstanding value at the time. And surprisingly, Kalvin Phillips played a key role in the Dutchman’s decision to move to the London Stadium. I personally have no doubt that Summerville with the Hammers will be a huge success – it has what it takes to shine for us on the biggest stage.

But could a problematic situation arise in the near future? Could Crysencio Summerville make a stink at West Ham We have so much strength in the club at the moment. The competition for places is so fierce and it is so refreshing to see after years of poor management by David Moyes. However, it can also cause some problems. According to a report from The Athletic, Summerville has decided to join West Ham over other clubs in the summer in order to secure more regular game time.

“Three other Premier League clubs were interested in the striker, but he chose West Ham to secure playing time.” Liverpool and Chelsea are reportedly among the clubs apparently keen to sign Summerville this summer (TNT Sports). However, West Ham eventually won the race for the 22-year-old, reportedly due to promises of more playing time. I know it’s still early days, but Summerville has only played 21 Premier League minutes out of a possible 270 so far.

He started in the Carabao Cup win over Bournemouth and played 74 minutes, but the Premier League is where Summerville will look to make a name for himself with West Ham. This is definitely a situation to be aware of. I fully expect him to start our Carabao Cup clash with Liverpool but it will be very interesting to see how many minutes he gets in the Premier League games against Fulham, Chelsea, Brentford and Ipswich Town after the current international break.

Crysencio Summerville will be a big player for West Ham Firstly, he is absolutely fast and that pace is something we really need in the front line. In fact, I think the ultimate targets could be Jarrod Bowen playing through the middle, Mohammed Kudus out wide on the right, Lucas Paqueta in the number 10 role and Summerville on the left.

Summerville plays with a certain youthful exuberance and fearlessness that we don’t have right now. The former Leeds player will certainly need time to adapt to Lopetegui’s system and the demands at the London Stadium. But when everything falls into place, I have no doubt that Crysencio Summerville will be a huge hit at West Ham. Everyone just has to give it the time it needs. And crucially, Summerville must be patient.
