Kieran Maguire has predicted Leicester City could be left seven points adrift following the penalty handed to Everton.
This comes after the Premier League confirmed [3. September] that the Independent Appeals Board has decided to uphold the Foxes appeal against the alleged breach of profit and sustainability rules.
The Toffees were deducted a total of eight points for two separate PSR infringements in the final term, pushing them past the £105m loss mark over three seasons, with fans bewildered by the decision.
Maguire took X on Tuesday (September 3), writing: “Based on Forest/Everton deducting three points for infringements and an extra point at £6.5m over the limit, if the Premier League calculations were correct, then with a £24.4m infringement would have deducted seven points from Leicester City (subject to aggravating and mitigating factors).

The fans at Goodison Park are absolutely furious, and rightly so. Sean Dyche’s side suffered a huge deficit last season but still managed to survive the threat of relegation.
While many fans understood that the Premier League applied the rules and punished both the Toffees and Nottingham Forest, the clubs are clearly finding loopholes.
Fingers have since been pointed at Manchester City, who have yet to receive a penalty for 115 alleged offences, and now Leicester are expected to avoid a points deduction despite the alleged offence.
