David Moyes tipped to be new Leeds manager after Farke sack – fans react

Leeds United fans have hinted that David Moyes will take over at Elland Road if Daniel Farke is sacked after a disappointing start to the season.

   Leeds have drawn twice and lost one of their opening three games, conceding six more than their first two against Portsmouth and Middlesbrough before drawing 0-0 with West Brom.

   As a result, the pressure on Farke’s job is mounting amid the frustrations that have built up since last year’s playoff final.

   Despite being heavily tipped and expected to gain promotion at the first call, Southampton went on to win the play-offs and Leeds remained in League Two.

   With renewed calls for Farke’s head, fans have begun naming their ideal replacements for the boss, with Moyes’ name constantly cropping up.

   Moyes has been out of work since leaving West Ham at the end of last season, where he was replaced by Julen Lopetegui when his contract expired.

   But his time in east London saw him turn the Hammers from relegation contenders to European trophy winners as they lifted the Conference League Europa League.

   His potential availability has alarmed sections of Leeds fans who believe he could be the perfect replacement for Farke, with calls on the club to do so on social media.

   Others were less positive about the move due to his footballing style and previous links to Manchester United and questions about whether he would take the job.
