Nottingham Forest have a strong line-up of players for the 2024/25 campaign and there have been several top performances so far this season.

The Reds are unbeaten this season with two wins and two draws after beating Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield last weekend.

One of the best against Liverpool came from Forest star Ola Ain and Ian Wright later praised him for his effort.

He switched to right-back for the away game at Anfield, with Alex Moreno coming in at left-back as he made his first start for Forest in the Premier League.

Aina signed for Forest on a free transfer in the summer of 2023 and looks to be a very smart piece of business as a free agent.

Nottingham Forest are planning to extend Ola Ain’s contract

According to reports from All Nigeria Soccer in Nigeria, Forest are now preparing to link Aino to a new deal at the City Ground.

This summer, Aina was rewarded with a contract for his efforts last season, but only received a one-year extension.

It is now claimed that Aina will sign a four-year deal as the club look to keep him at the club past his prime.

The Nigeria international is now 27 and Forest are clearly keen to keep Aino in their defense beyond the current campaign.

Aina has struggled with injuries and has made 26 appearances for Forest in total, scoring once in a 2-0 win against Aston Villa last season.

Every contract is a must for Forest

Given that the club got him for free, Forest need to protect their assets and keep Aino on Trentside for the foreseeable future.

The four-year deal takes him into his thirties and beyond as he received an extension to his existing deal with Forest.

Hopefully this can be done fairly quickly.    The celebrations after the Liverpool game showed a player who was clearly happy at Forest and it is hard to imagine him turning down promotions.

Aina earns £40,000-a-week at Forest and is hardly among the top earners overall when it comes to wages at the City Ground.
