🚨EXCLUSIVE :Journalist says Leeds United are already regretting not signing £7.6m player after new injury concern

Leeds United have one of the smallest squads in the Championship this season and that could show at Cardiff City.

   For the first time this season, Daniel Farke has a number of injury concerns ahead of the game and could be without four players from last week’s squad if things worsen.

   Farke mentioned Joe Rodon, Joe Rothwell, Manor Solomon and Junior Firpo are struggling this week.

   Farke has listed Solomon as a major doubt with a back injury, which could open the door for Largie Ramazani to make his Leeds debut.

   However, Rothwell, Solomon and Firpo were all seen in Leeds’ latest training video, giving hope that they will be in contention.

   Graham Smyth claims Roland Sallai after Leeds injury news

   It shouldn’t be a surprise that Solomon has an injury, given that he’s started four games in just two weeks after missing nearly a year of competitive football.

   With Dan James also on the sidelines, Solomon would miss Leeds’ desperate lack of bench options in the Welsh capital.

   Ramazani, Wilfried Gnonto and Brenden Aaronson would still be a very strong trio behind the striker, but if Leeds need some momentum off the bench, there is no one who can come in and make an impact.

   Speaking on the latest episode of the Inside Elland Road Podcast, journalist Graham Smyth said that Farke’s latest injury update already highlights their failure to sign Rolando Sallai.

   He said: “Manor Solomon, a lot of people were worried about his injury situation. He has a back problem this week and the biggest question mark is over him. Numbers and height, we should get Sallai.

   “Roland Sallai, a big boy, can play everywhere, especially 10. We should get him, we should get him, there can’t be any real debate about that now can there?”

   Sallai has since joined Galatasaray following interest from Leeds

   Leeds’ failure to sign Sallai on deadline day opened the door to a move to Galatasaray for the 27-year-old last week, with their window open two weeks longer.

   According to reports in Turkey, Sallai is said to have turned down a move to Leeds after a deal worth around £7.6m was agreed with Freiburg.

   However, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post , this was not the case, with Leeds instead opting not to step up their interest properly.

   This scenario would certainly be consistent with Smyth’s comments as he clearly has information that it was Leeds who decided not to make the move.
