🚨REPORT :Chris Sutton says £25k-per-week Nottingham Forest player has been ‘getting on everyone’s nerves’ this season

It has been a sensational start to the season for Nottingham Forest, who entered the last round in seventh place.

   Nuna Espirito Santo’s side managed to collect eight points from their first four games to start the season without defeat.

   This leaves the Reds just two points off second place in what has been an unexpectedly positive season so far.

   And the final game of their trip to Anfield saw Forest deliver the shock of the season to Liverpool after coming away from Merseyside with all three points.

   The Reds have managed to make such a positive start to the season despite being hit by a few injuries in these early stages of the campaign.

   One player replaced Nunn, who Chris Sutton said was getting on the opponent’s nerves.

   It hasn’t been smooth sailing for Forest so far this season, as Danilo suffered an injury that required surgery.

   Recently, however, Ibrahim Sangare was ruled out due to his own injury problem, which is believed to be significant.

   Obviously, that didn’t prove to be too much of a problem for the Reds, who were still getting results like last weekend without the midfield pair.

   In his weekly prediction column for BBC Sport, Sutton suggested the Reds could draw 1-1 away at Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend.

   But he also focused on some individual performances at Anfield last weekend, with Ryan Yates’ ‘special’ display catching his eye.

   “It’s hard to predict a Nottingham Forest defeat now because they were so good at Liverpool and their back line with Nikola Milenkovic, Murillo, Alex Moreno and Ola Aina was absolutely fantastic,” he said.

   “Forest also had James Ward-Prowse just sitting in front of the back four and ticking things off and Ryan Yates working alongside him to make everyone nervous with his tenacity.

   “Their substitutions came in and affected the game at Anfield as well, and the whole team was so calm.

   “So while I look at Brighton and think they’re capable of scoring, given what I’ve seen from Forest, why would I say they’re going to lose?”

   Nottingham Forest could cause serious turmoil this season

   After battling relegation for the entirety of last season, the start of the new campaign has brought a much more promising outlook for the Reds.

   Of course, Forest won’t go unbeaten all season, but the early signs have shown that Forest are far more resilient than what fans saw last season.

   But the efforts of players like Yates, who is on £25,000-a-week, could go a long way in securing the points that keep Forest firmly in the top half.

   But the fans won’t be complaining too much as they have twice as many points as Tottenham Hotspur have collected so far.
