Richard Keys and Andy Gray believe West Ham United should be awarded a penalty against Chelsea on Saturday 21 September.

   The Irons went down 3-0 to their London rivals, with Nicolas Jackson scoring two early goals before Crysencio Summerville was withdrawn.

   PGMOL said Wesley Fofana’s contact was “fleeting”, something the duo disagreed with after reviewing the footage.

   Speaking live on beIN Sports, which was published on X, Gray and Keys and David Moyes agreed that it should be given.

   Gray admitted there were initial questions about the incident, saying: “Because he was one of those guys when he had it long enough, didn’t he have it long enough? One way or the other.”

   Keys then said simply, “Well, let me tell you both, if it affected his run, then it’s a penalty.”

   The West Ham United controversy doesn’t hide Chelsea’s nagging

   Whatever you think of the decision, West Ham simply embarrassed themselves at the London Stadium in what was supposed to be a close derby.

   Julen Lopetegui is facing pressure from David Sullivan and the board very early on as his decision-making so far has been nothing short of shocking.

   Setting the team up the same way with Konstantinos Mavropanos, Edson Alvarez, and Guido Rodriguez in those roles isn’t good enough, and it shouldn’t take that long to figure that out.

   After five games, it looks very bleak regardless of the opponents so far and the number of new signings.

   After Tim Steidten challenged Summerville to have an impact like Mohammed Kudus [ The Athletic ], it’s hard not to be a little disappointed.
