SHOCKING :Roy Keane wants Nottingham Forest star ‘fined a week’s wages’ after Brighton blunder

Roy Keane has claimed Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Matz Sels should be fined a week’s wages after his error in Brighton’s second goal in the Premier League game.

   Danny Welbeck fired the free-kick past Sels, who took a step to the right, only for the former Manchester United and Arsenal striker to beat the keeper on his own side, a cardinal sin for the hosts to take the lead on the south coast.

   “The [Forest] keeper should be fined a week’s wages,” Keane said during Sky Sports’ half-time analysis.    “He’s embraced the right-leaning game. He can’t be beat on that side.”

   Keane’s fellow pundit Micah Richards joked that he had told the Irishman that Welbeck was capable of taking free-kicks, despite only taking the fourth of his top-flight career against Forest.

   Keane admitted Welbeck was a “good player” before further lamenting Selo’s role in the goal, adding: “You can’t be beaten on your side and he tends to that side. Fine him a week’s wages just because,  because (is) so bad.

   “He took a chance that leans to the right but you can’t be beaten on that side. Not good enough from a goalkeeper’s point of view but Danny always makes an impact on games.”

   Brighton struck in the 13th minute when Chris Wood marked his return to the AMEX Stadium with a goal after Callum Hudson-Odoi had been brought down by Carlos Baleba.

   They leveled just before half-time when Jack Hinshelwood curled a superb header past Selz, who could do little to prevent the 19-year-old’s first goal of the season.

   And just minutes later, Kaoru Mitoma was brought down just outside the Wood area and a Selza error was pounced on by Welbeck to continue his strong start to the campaign.

   Sels, 32, joined Forest in January and saw his position threatened when Nuno Espirito Santo also moved to Carlos Miguel just months later.

   But the Belgian retained his place as Forest’s first-choice stopper despite Keane calling for him to be punished after allowing Welbeck to beat him so cheaply.
