‘Too much of an ask’: Alan Shearer shares who he thinks will win on Sunday between Brighton & Hove Albion and Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest will look to make it three away wins from three this season when they visit Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

   Nun Espirito Santo’s men defied the odds to take all three points when they visited Liverpool at Anfield last weekend.

   Forest’s two wins this season have both come away from home and the Reds also secured maximum points away from home at Southampton.

   Some players have been seriously impressed with Forest’s attacking prowess in the opening weeks of the season.

   And that was on display last weekend against Liverpool when the Reds looked a real threat when breaking on the counter.

   There is also a positive feeling at the club as Nuno is seen as the man to take Forest further into the Premier League.

   There is clearly a positive feeling at Forest, with Nuno also sharing his excitement at what he has seen from Evangelos Marinakis.

   Although Forest will be riding the high of their victory at Anfield, they must quickly focus on the task ahead on Sunday.

   Brighton & Hove Albion have also made a good start to the season, sitting higher than the Reds on goal difference.

   Alan Shearer admitted ahead of Sunday’s game that he believes it will be a home win on the south coast.

   “Nobody had Nottingham Forest who won last week at Anfield but they were impressive. They’ve had a good start to the season which I don’t think many of us expected,” he told the Metro.

   “I’m not sure if they can go to Brighton and do the same. It might be asking too much to do it again.

   “Brighton didn’t get a good result at home against Ipswich but I think Ipswich will be the best of the promoted teams so it remains to be seen how the results look in the long term. It’s still been a brilliant start for the team under the new manager and they have some great players who  they won at home.”

   Nottingham Forest moved up to second place at the weekend

   Depending on how results play out elsewhere in the league this weekend, Forest could move into second place in the table if they win on Sunday.

   Of course, the results would need to be strongly in their favor for this to be possible.

   But another win for Forest would make for a sensational start to the season with a return to the City Ground next time against Fulham.

   Forest showed great improvement last season and look set to defy pundits’ predictions again this weekend.
