Nottingham Forest fans were left furious with referee Rob Jones after Simon Adingra avoided a red card against Brighton.
Nuna Espirito Santo’s men showed plenty of fight in the match and held to a 2-2 draw, with goals from Chris Wood and Ramon Sosa equalizing goals from Jack Hinshelwood and Danny Welbeck.
There was a bad mood with nine yellow cards, and Morgan Gibbs White, Fabian Hurzeler and Nuno were all sent off.
But one player who managed to avoid a booking was Adingra, leaving the traveling Forest fans confused by the officials’ decision.
Pictures shared on social media after the game showed the 22-year-old winger hitting the back of Alex Moreno’s sword with his cleats but was not penalised.
The error didn’t even seem to be checked by VAR and after Gibbs-White was sent off the fans couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
