🚨BREAKING NEWS :Why Leeds United could soon benefit from new Everton takeover and rake in £11m fee

There has been some rivalry between Everton and Leeds United in recent years, but the new takeover of Goodison Park could actually help Leeds.

   Whether it’s fighting relegation to the Premier League, Everton’s pursuit of Wilfried Gnont or deducting points from Everton for breaking the rules in a season in which Leeds were relegated, a rivalry has formed.

   The Toffees look set to be back in relegation battle in 2024-25 after a poor start to the campaign.    Sean Dyche is under increasing pressure as Everton manager.

   It was a trying time for Everton fans.    In a few years, they went from European prospects to relegation candidates.    But Everton fans received much better news this week.

   The BBC says Everton will be the subject of a takeover by The Friedkin Group, the same company that currently owns Italian giants Roma.    This takeover could only help Leeds collect a fee close to £11m.

   Leeds may now have the chance to finally sell Jack Harrison

   Harrison was one of eight players to exercise Victor Orta’s release clause in 2023.  Since then, four of the eight have left for good in the form of Robin Koch, Marco Roca, Diego Llorente and Luis Sinisterra.

   Two returned to Elland Road in Brenden Aaronson and Max Wober, while Harrison and Rasmus Kristensen had the option of new loans.    Both jumped at the opportunity when Harrison returned to Everton on loan.

   However, Everton’s takeover means Leeds have the opportunity to finally offload the winger.    The YEP say Leeds are likely to recoup much of the £11m they paid Man City to sign him in the summer of 2021.

   Do Everton really want to sign Harrison from Leeds?

   While Everton may now have the financial ability to sign Harrison and turn his loan deal into a permanent deal, would they want to?    Judging by Everton’s form this season, he might be better off looking elsewhere.

   Last season, Harrison had his worst season in the Premier League in terms of numbers.    Just six goals in the Premier League compared to 16 in the first season, nine in the second and 12 after that.

   He is yet to score or assist in England’s top flight this season and has effectively failed to do so since the 2-2 draw against Spurs last February.    Everton can now afford Harrison, but they may not want him.
