Leicester City have been on a rollercoaster for the last 10 years.

Two campaigns, Premier League and FA Cup triumphs and several campaigns in Europe.    It was an unforgettable period in Leicester’s history.

However, there is one drawback, a fallout that supporters felt was largely due to poor management at the board level.

Director of football Jon Rudkin has received a lot of criticism from fans, who have even displayed banners at matches.

It only got a boost when Leicester received a potential points deduction for breaching the PSR in the 2022/23 season.

The Foxes managed to avoid punishment, but some fans still feel a chill towards Rudkin.

Marc Albrighton gave his verdict on the Leicester manager on the Under The Cosh podcast.

When asked about Leicester managers Jon Rudkin and Susan Whelan, Marc Albrighton admitted fans’ disappointment with them but was quick to praise their leadership over the past decade.

“I know they get a lot of knocks, you hear them chanting about them at games these days, but I don’t really know the details, it’s hard for me to comment,” the 34-year-old said.

“So I don’t really know the details of it all, obviously there were financial things that made us think we were going to take points away and I think the fans were worried about that – it didn’t happen.

“I just look at the last 10 years since I’ve been there and I think the club has been run really well and they’ve been in charge the whole time. So that’s how I look at it.”

Albrighton continued: “No fan of a team at the level of Leicester could have dreamed of the last 10 years we’ve had.

“Like I say, I don’t know what’s going on now, I’m not up to date with things that are going on, I don’t really understand the rules anymore when it comes to FFP.

“But I look at it and think one or two things, she was treated so well.”
