🚨REPORT :Footage shows what Anthony Taylor said to get Morgan Gibbs-White sent off in Nottingham Forest vs Brighton

Nottingham Forest drew 2-2 against Brighton on Sunday to maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League campaign, but debate rages over Morgan Gibbs-White’s red card.

   The Reds were reduced to 10 men for the latter part of the game on Sunday after Gibbs-White received a second yellow card for a reckless tackle on Joao Pedro.

   It wasn’t the tackle itself that caused the controversy, but the fact that Rob Jones initially indicated that Gibbs-White played the ball and was happy with the tackle.

   Jones was given the clearest hint yet by the Premier League this weekend, with the authorities believing he should stand by the original decision.

   Gibbs-White used his day off earlier this week to train with the youth team and will not be available for this weekend’s visit to Fulham.

   The suspension debate is raging and it’s very unfortunate that VAR can’t get involved or appeal after the match.

   Well, this footage will only infuriate Forest fans further, given that it has not been revealed what Anthony Taylor said after the tackle.

   It looked as if Gibbs-White had clearly won the ball before his attacking speed carried him towards Pedro – who is now injured.

   Some footage has surfaced of Taylor saying he felt the Woodsman get the ball.

   Then, in a bizarre turn of events, he repeats the phrase “it’s yellow” three times, causing Jones to change his mind and send Gibbs-White away.

   No Forest fan would have complained too much if Jones himself had called for Gibbs-White to be sent off, but the process was a mess.

   Taylor is there to act as the fourth umpire and getting involved in influencing something that the umpire has clearly seen is not part of his job.

   Forest need to park this and focus on Fulham

   In the end, the Reds were on the wrong side of another bad decision, but this time it cost the club nothing.

   Indeed, Gibbs-White could receive another game of suspension with some charges to answer for misconduct following his suspension.

   Currently, Taylor is not fit for purpose.    He set the Premier League record for most yellow cards when he was booked at Bournemouth and Chelsea last week and is now back in the news.

   Still, from the forest’s point of view, it’s no good crying over it.    The full focus must now be on Fulham this weekend and it is a game which gives the club a great opportunity to grab another three points in the table.
