A police hunt is on after thieves stole 30 Nottingham Forest kits from the boot of a car belonging to the manager of the women’s team.    Senior detectives say the culprits hit trainer Carly Davies’ car while it was parked outside her home address in Clifton.

The special kits – which include training equipment – are unique thanks to the sponsor on the front of the shirts.    Nottinghamshire Police say they want the public to keep an eye on the equipment following the incident on September 12.

A spokesman for the force said: “The shirts are distinctive because the sponsor is unique to the women’s team.

“The kits will have the players’ names on the back along with the players’ numbers and few of these shirts have been sold but they are available to fans.”    Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 098 of September 12.

Carly Davies has been appointed Head Coach of Nottingham Forest Women’s First Team in August 2023.  Davies joins the club with over 20 years’ experience at Aston Villa, both playing and coaching.

The team are currently top of the Northern Premier Division of the National League after seven games, with five wins and two draws.    Although the men’s kits are now sponsored by Asian digital sports platform Kaiyun Sports, the women’s team kits continue to be sponsored by energy company E.on Next.
