Nottingham Forest’s unbeaten start to the season came to an end on Saturday after defeat at Fulham.
Nuna Espirito Santo’s side were disappointed at the City Ground and the visitors took the three points with a narrow 1-0 win.
Forest put the ball into the net through Chris Wood, but VAR ruled the opening goal of the afternoon for offside.
But Fulham’s chance to take the lead was gifted by a referee’s decision when Raul Jimenez crossed from the penalty spot.
However, there was an incident when Forest appealed against their own penalty in the second half of the game at the City Ground.

After Fulham opened the scoring, Anthony Elanga tried to steal the ball from Calvin Bassey, who appeared to sweep the Swede under his feet.
Bassey was on the ground trying to control the ball before Elanga bit in front of him.
There was clear contact, but neither the referee nor the VAR ruled for the home team, which will anger Nunn in the stands.
Mike Dean gave his verdict on the Fulham penalty area incident on Sky Sports Soccer on Saturday.
“The VAR looked and thought it was minimal contact, it’s a bit of contact,” Dean said.
“But in these high-stakes days, it’s the judge’s decision and the bookie’s, which is almost a fair decision.”

It’s so hard to see how Forest didn’t get a decision in their favor when Elanga went down.
Bassey had clear contact and there was enough power to bring Forest edge down inside the box.
After last season’s controversial scenes with VAR, Forest will feel much less against them this past campaign.
A penalty would have given Forest the chance to take a point from the game, but now their unbeaten record is out the window, the Reds must bounce back against Chelsea next week.
