🚨BREAKING NEWS :Pundit told Dan Friedkin to ‘provide some answers’ after recent Everton takeover developments

Michael Ball has told Dan Friedkin to “give some answers” following Everton’s recent takeover of Goodison Park.

   The Toffees confirmed in September that the Friedkin Group had reached a historic deal with Farhad Moshiri to take over the Blues’ current owner’s controlling stake in the football club [Fabrizio Romano, September 23].

   While the takeover still needs to be approved by the Premier League, the FA and the Financial Conduct Authority, Liverpool pundit Echo Ball urged Friedkin to learn from Moshiri’s mistakes and allow fans to “dream again”.

   Writing in the Liverpool Echo on Tuesday (October 1), he said: “But I think the way Dan Friedkin is running Roma is letting the football people get on with the business of football and he trusts his staff to bring the staff  , who sees him as capable of performing these roles.

   “Under Moshiri, nobody really took responsibility, be it sports managers to managers or even the owner or chairman.

   “It felt like it was ‘too many cooks’ but nobody seemed to put their hand up when things went wrong and for me that was the downfall of Everton Football Club.

   “Hopefully Friedkin can absorb all of this, learn from the mistakes of the previous regime and provide some answers so we can all dream again.”

   When will Dan Friedkin complete Everton’s takeover of Goodison Park?

   For the first time in a long time, there is renewed hope and optimism around Goodison Park and it is only natural that pundits and fans alike want this new era to begin as soon as possible.

   But fans should be aware that once the takeover is cleared by the relevant authorities, there won’t be an immediate replacement as there is still a lot of work ahead of the Merseyside authorities.

   Friedkin’s previous work at Roma shows they have what it takes to run a successful football club and there is no reason the American owners can’t do the same with the Toffees.

   However, this will not be a quick fix.    Moshiri’s poor management needs to be undone and getting the Blues back on track will take time and effort from everyone involved at the football club.

   Hopefully, Friedkin will eventually allow the Toffees to believe again, as Ball suggested.    As long as the new owner avoids the same mistakes as Moshiri, he will be popular with fans.
